City of Riverside awarded $3M for Northside Heritage Meadows project

Published by RFSA on

“Thanks to the incredible creativity of our sustainability committee and the collaborative spirit across the green community, Riverside was awarded a $3M grant from the State’s Department of Natural Resources with an important workforce development component attached. Think community gardens, landscaped walking paths, and a farmer’s market featuring healthy eating options for a neighborhood that lacks easy access to a grocery store. Job well done to the grant writing team for elevating the conversation and collaboration, toward lessons learned through this grant that can be replicated in other parts of the city.”
